On this stretch of coastline, golf isn’t a hobby—it’s a way of organizing your day. The golf courses on the Costa del Sol, squeezed between the sea and mountains from Sotogrande to eastern Marbella, form one of the densest and most beautiful networks in Europe. You can play in the morning, return home for lunch, and still make it to the beach before sunset, and each course has its own character, history, and view worth the trip.

For many of our clients, golf is one of the reasons they even look at this part of Spain, which is why we’ve compiled the ten most prestigious courses that share one thing: they’re accessible to external players. You don’t need to be a club member or live in a particular residential development—just pay the green fee. We’ve also selected them for the most beautiful views. We deliberately exclude courses available only to members, such as Las Brisas, Aloha, La Zagaleta, or Marbella Club Golf.

One practical note. Green fees, hours, and tee time availability can vary, and at the most exclusive courses (Valderrama, Finca Cortesín), a handicap card may be required. With each address you’ll find the website, map, and phone number, so it’s worth booking your round directly and in advance.

1. Real Club Valderrama (Sotogrande)
